COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and AMP
1. Training at AMP
The doors to AMP Athletic are now OPEN!
We are maintaining all of the social distancing, hand sanitation and ventilation requirements and are one of the safest places to exercise in Central London.
Our gym set up will give you 3 times the space that UK Active and the Government have set out. Rest assured you can book, train and have fun while you’re here. Sessions available on the hour throughout the day.
For those that don’t want to train in a gym we have Park Sessions and Coached Zoom Sessions running throughout the week.
Research has shown that it is very important to stay fit and healthy to fight COVID-19, make sure you are following the government guidelines and staying safe as you do it. Here are some tips:
- Take daily exercise (within the government guidelines)
- Walk outdoors every day, this has been shown time and time again to boost mood states
- Maintain a balanced and healthy diet to support your immune system
- Reduce overall alcohol intake as this can disrupt sleep and lower your immune response
- Practice mindfulness or yoga, specifically taking time to be calm and focus on your breathing
Please make sure you reach out if you need any help or advice, we are always here to help
Take care and stay safe
2. What can I do to help prevent the spread of coronavirus?
We advise all of the AMP Family to follow the government advice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
- Respect the social distancing rules throughout the building
- Wash your hands frequently, for at least 20 seconds
- Make full use of the soap, hand sanitisers throughout AMP Athletic and the other approved COVID-19 cleaning products available on the gym floor
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and wash your hands immediately
- Familiarise yourself with the latest guidance from your health authority
- Follow your government’s advice for travellers if returning from, or planning to travel to, a country with known cases of COVID-19 in its population
