Trialist & Members T&C’s

Services

The membership provides access to AMP Marylebone and entitles the member to use the facilities, equipment, and services available, in accordance with their selected membership type.

Membership

The membership is personal, and cannot be shared.

Age Limit

The Member confirms that he/she is 18 years old or older. For persons 16 or 17 years old, exceptions are granted based on a written parental consent.

Health

The Member confirms that he/she does not suffer from health problems that would hinder exercise or prevent him/her from engaging in exercise, or that would be detrimental or adverse to the Member’s health, safety or physical condition if he/she did exercise. In case of any doubt, the Member shall seek advice by a medical doctor who should confirm the ability to exercise.

AMP shall have no obligation to perform a fitness assessment or similar testing to determine the Member’s physical condition. If an assessment is done at AMP, it is for the sole purpose of compiling comparative data in order to track the Member’s progress in a programme and not for diagnostic purposes.

Use of the sauna and ice bath facilities is entirely at the Member’s own risk. The Member confirms that he/she is medically fit to use such facilities and understands the potential risks associated with heat and cold exposure.

Liability

Each Member of AMP shall be liable for any property damage and/or personal injury caused by the Member on the AMP premises. It shall be the obligation of the Member to pay for any costs involved upon presentation of a statement thereof.

Waiver of Liability

Any and all use of the AMP facilities shall be at Member’s own risk at all times. The Member shall not utilise any equipment unless he/she knows the appropriate usage. AMP shall not be liable for any injuries, physical impact or damages to the Member, or the property of the Member, or be subject to any claim arising out of the use of the premises and/or of the equipment made available to the users.

AMP shall not be liable for any injury, illness, physical impact or damages arising from the use of the sauna or ice bath facilities.

Lockers for Personal Belongings

Lockers are available for Members while working out in the facility. Each Member needs to empty the locker when leaving the facility. AMP will open and empty lockers if the Member is not in the facility.

For longer term locker hire, members can contact Front of House.

Lost Property or Theft

AMP does not take responsibility for loss or theft of any personal belongings. Any items left on AMP premises will be kept for a period of two weeks before being disposed of.

Suspension/Termination of Membership

If the Member behaves in a way that breaches the code of conduct, membership can be suspended or terminated at management’s sole discretion.

Access & Security

AMP is open Monday to Friday 6am-8pm, Saturday 7am-12pm and Sunday from 8am-12pm, except for bank holidays and exceptional circumstances, when times may vary. Sessions are available according to the times stated in the AMP booking system. Sessions and instructors are subject to change with no prior notice. Members must sign in before each session. Each class has limited capacity and a waitlist. If a Member arrives without a booking and the class is full, training may take place via open gym or team training where capacity allows.

Payment

The Member is responsible for the payment of the membership. This is true even if the amount is debited directly by AMP. Agreed price only applies if the Member pays according to the agreed conditions.

Monthly rolling membership agreement

The first month’s payment or pro-rata amount and any sign-up fee are paid at the point of this agreement. By signing this agreement, the Member confirms they are entering into a rolling monthly membership. The membership will automatically renew each month and continue on a rolling basis unless cancelled by the Member in accordance with the notice period set out below.

The following monthly payments shall be paid on the 1st of each new month. The Member is responsible for all payments, including in the case of automatic debits by AMP. The Member provides approval for automatic debit from their account or card. Any wish to cancel must be given in writing with a minimum of 30 days’ notice, and the Member remains responsible for all payments scheduled to be made during this notice period.

If payment is late, the Member will receive a reminder email from AMP and access may be suspended. The membership will continue to run and payments will remain due even if access is suspended. If after 30 days the outstanding amount has still not been paid, the Member will be in violation of this agreement and the total outstanding amount under the contract will become immediately due. AMP reserves the right to transfer the case to a debt collection agency, which may add additional fees for which the Member will be responsible.

Membership freezes or adjustments to tariff options, require a minimum of 14 working days’ notice before the end of the calendar month and will take effect from the 1st of the following month.

Cancellation

To cancel a monthly rolling membership, the Member must provide no less than 30 days’ written notice via email to the AMP team. Notice will take effect from the next billing cycle. Where notice is submitted mid-month, the next scheduled monthly payment will still be collected.

Annual membership (12 months pre-paid): The contract runs for 12 months, during which time it cannot be cancelled. Six month membership (six months pre-paid): The contract runs for six months, during which time it cannot be cancelled.

Annual/6 month Contract Renewal

At the end of the contract period, the membership is automatically renewed, on a monthly rolling basis (with the option of paying up front for another 12 months) unless the Member sends a cancellation email to team@amp.fit at least 30 days before the end of the contract period. AMP will send a reminder via email 30 days before the end of the contract period. The member is responsible for his/her own cancellation, even if the email reminder was not received.

Exceptional cancellation

Cancellation outside of standard notice periods may be granted where a Member is medically unable to continue training, subject to provision of a valid medical certificate. Approval remains at management’s discretion.

Price Changes

Prices will increase in line with inflation, on an annual basis.

Membership Pauses

We offer a freeze option, which is a £50 fee and lasts one calendar month. In this time, the member can request a complimentary online training programme. The following payment will run automatically on the 1st of the next month. Pauses must be requested 14 in advance and will run from 1st-1st of the requested month.

Memberships cannot be paused for any month that has already been paid for. Freezes will only be considered in exceptional circumstances where it is medically impossible for the Member to use AMP’s services. In such cases, a signed medical certificate must be provided as supporting evidence.

Anyone not wishing to use this option is welcome to cancel, following the cancellation policy, and re-join at the current membership rates.

Photography & Marketing consent

AMP may occasionally take photographs or video recordings within the facility for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes. By entering the premises, Members acknowledge that they may appear in this content.

If a Member would prefer not to be included in any photos or videos, we kindly ask that they let a member of the AMP team know and we will happily accommodate this request.

Any content used by AMP will always be presented in a respectful and appropriate manner and will never be used in a misleading or defamatory way.

GDPR

AMP collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Personal information provided by the Member will be used for membership administration, payment processing, communication, and service delivery.

Force Majeure

AMP shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to government restrictions, public health measures, natural disasters, fire, flood, utility failures, staff illness, industrial disputes, or any other unforeseen circumstances.

In such circumstances, AMP reserves the right to modify services, adjust opening hours, suspend operations temporarily, or provide alternative services where reasonably possible.
